| Retaking
the Accuplacer
- You
may retake the Accuplacer
only once.
- If
you wish to retake an assessment/placement test,
talk with a counselor or advisor on your campus to see if you meet the criteria for a retake. If approved, obtain
a signed Student Referral For Retesting Form. Present
the Form at the Assessment
Center on the campus where you wish to enroll and
request an appointment to retake the test.
- Official
retake forms are available in the Student
Development Counseling Centers.
- If you
have already taken the Accuplacer Math assessment and tested
into MA090, MA091 or MA100D and meet certain criteria, you may
be interested in the FAST
TRACK Prealgebra and Algebra review courses.

Retaking
the American English Language (LOEP) Test
- If you
take the Academic American English (LOEP) test
and place into the American
English Language Program (AELP) courses, you may not
retake the test for the current semester. If you enroll in an
AELP course for the current semester, you will be tested during
the first week of class by your AELP professors to check placement.
If your in-class test scores are high enough, you may be allowed
to enroll in a higher level English course. Otherwise, you must
complete the AELP program sequence.
- If
you are already enrolled in AELP courses, you may not
retake the Academic American English placement test and must
go through the AELP course sequence.
- If
you take the Academic American English (LOEP) test,
but do not enroll for the current semester, you
may re-take the test once.
- If you
are in Continuing
Education (CE) ESL classes, you may retake the Academic
American English (LOEP) test. You must present an
official referral form signed by a Continuing Education ESL
counselor.
