Welcome to the Takoma Park/Silver Spring 2009-2010 First Year Experience (FYE) web site.
Thank you for joining us. Your involvement helps keeps the FYE “engines” running. This year the Takoma Park/Silver Spring(TP/SS) First Year Experience (FYE) theme is Peace and Justice. The TP/SS First Year Experience theme wonderfully compliments Montgomery College’s Global Peace and Justice Study’s Initiative. Be on the lookout for activities and field trips in the coming academic year. We are planning trips to the United States Supreme Court and the National Archives. Speakers and workshops centered on the Peace and Justice theme will be held throughout the 2009-2010 year. Your professors may offer you extra credit to attend and reflect upon these events. Please check with them to see if your class is or can be involved. Keep on the lookout! Activities are open to the college community unless otherwise noted.
