Writing in the Disciplines

Writing in the Disciplines seeks to strengthen student writing skills and help faculty incorporate writing into their courses. Through events such as workshops, lectures, roundtables and online discussion forums, WID brings together a community of teachers who wish to maximize their students' learning, writing, and critical thinking skills.

Initial funding for WID was provided by a Montgomery College Make It Happen Innovation Grant. Since that time, the program has enjoyed ongoing support from MHIG and from the Center for Teaching and Learning, featuring a schedule of faculty workshops, public speakers, and intensive one-on-one consultations with faculty.
