Thanks to the great support and generosity of campus Provosts, Deans and Chairpersons on all campuses of the College, Writing in the Disciplines is happy to provide easy access to the program's offerings to all faculty.

The Campus Contacts for the 2009-2010 academic year are:

• James Smith, Biology, Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus
• Benedict Ngala, Sociology, Germantown Campus
• Deborah Stearns, Psychology, Rockville Campus

Campus Faculty Contacts serve as representatives of the Writing in the Disciplines program on each campus:

·         They meet with interested faculty to address questions and assist with development of lessons, rubrics, and other writing-related teaching materials

·         They meet with departments to provide program information and to co-facilitate discipline-specific workshops

·         they promote WID programs on their campuses

·         They co-facilitate WID workshops sponsored by the Writing and Reading Centers on their campuses

·         They are a source of resources and information to faculty who wish to integrate WID in their courses

·         They serve as liaisons between the faculty, staff and administrators on their campuses and the Collegewide WID

·         They work with the College Coordinator to develop programs and to shape the future of Writing in the Disciplines, college-wide.
