Professional Experience: I'm about to begin my second year as the Director of the Paul Peck Institute for American Culture and Civic Engagement. Prior to this appointment, I taught full-time for 20 years at Montgomery College, following upon two years as a part-time instructor.
My B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania is in English with a minor in French. My M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from Yale are in English, with an emphasis on Victorian literature and history. I also obtained a certificate in Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University.
