Germantown is the youngest and fastest-growing of the three Montgomery College campuses.
Since 1990, the Germantown Art Department has grown from one full-time instructor teaching four courses to three full-time instructors, eight adjunct instructors, and two part-time instructional assistants offering 30-40 sections of art classes in Studio, Computer Graphics, Music, and Theater. Part of the college's future is the implementation of high technology in our classrooms, teaching and delivering that information to the students. Our faculty and staff closely monitor our students' progress and encourage and advise them in their choice of studies, so that their time at the college is well utilized and their learning is a positive experience.
Members of our faculty are experts in their fields, available to help students outside of the classroom, in transfers to four-year universities, job searches, and portfolio presentations.
