Lori M. Kelman, MBA, Ph.D. serves as a professor of biotechnology at Montgomery College. In addition, she is Editor of Bios, a quarterly journal of undergraduate biology research. Prior to joining Montgomery College in 2001, Dr. Kelman was a member of the biology faculty at Iona College. Dr. Kelman has conducted research in yeast cell cycle regulation and plant molecular biology at NIH, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and The Rockefeller University. Dr. Kelman earned an A.B. in Biochemistry from Mt. Holyoke College, a M.S. in Biology from St. Johns University, a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Cornell University and a MBA in Management from Iona College. Her interests include the ethics of biology, the use of molecular biology in paleontology, and bioterrorism. |
