About the Center for Professional &
Organizational Development
As an educational institution, Montgomery College's ability to promote learning and enhance student success depends upon the competency of the people who work with them. As a result, we are firmly committed to the scholarship, innovation, and development of our employees and our organization. The intrinsic values of continuous learning, professional growth, and high performance are weaved into the College's fabric.
The Center for Professional & Organizational Development's mission is to support the continuous learning and improvement of our institution. To achieve this, we provide innovative training and development opportunities, services, and solutions to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of individuals and groups.
During the academic year and through out the summer, over two hundred different training and development classes are offered for MC faculty and staff. Our programs span a wide range of subject areas and topics - from leadership to software applications -- with activities as short as one-hour classes to multiple, day-long sessions. Additionally, we provide customized training and consulting services to meet the needs of units, departments, and work teams.
