Evaluating WebQuests

 

  1. Does the introduction hook the reader and set the stage for the WebQuest?
  2. Does the WebQuest deal with a compelling real-world topic?
  3. Is the task concrete and doable?
  4. Are students exposed to a variety of opinions and expert information available on the web?
  5. Does the WebQuest involve role-play?
  6. Does the WebQuest involve group work?
  7. Do the learning objectives involve higher order thinking skills?
  8. Does the instructor provide "scaffolding" (guidance through the thinking process) to assist the students in accomplishing the task?
