The CTL Professional Development Program for New Faculty

The Center for Teaching and Learning offers a comprehensive professional development opportunity for new faculty designed to assist them during their first three years at Montgomery College. A series of workshops is offered each semester on topics related to teaching. Each of the series consists of a cohort of faculty members who meet for three sessions on Friday afternoon for two hours with two facilitators. Faculty have the opportunity to take one workshop series each semester. The CTL makes every attempt to offer each of the series at least once at each campus over a three-year period. A total of twelve series cover topics such as classroom assessment techniques, mastering techniques of teaching, and teaching a diverse student population. The 2008-2009 offerings are listed here.
