What is the main advantage for receiving the 90-Hour Course Certificate at Montgomery College?

Upon receiving the 90-Hour Course Certificate at Montgomery College, students will receive six college credits toward the Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  On the other hand, a 90-hour course certificate obtained from other training institutions cannot be transferred as College credits.  In other words, students who have received a 90-hour course certificate from other trainers will need to retake 90-hour courses at Montgomery College if they decide to work on the Associate Degree or One-year Certificate.

When should I expect to receive the 90-Hour Course Certificate?

It will take about two months for students to receive a certificate after completing ED 120 & ED 121 courses.  Students are suggested to bring college transcript for job interviews before receiving a certificate.

Are all education courses offered every semester at the same time?

Some of the courses (ED 120, ED 121, ED 122, ED 125 and ED 215) are offered every semester at the same time. The following courses are offered at different times:

ED 123 and ED 200 are offered during the day in Fall, and in the evening in Spring.  ED 130 is offered online in Fall and face to face in the evening in Spring.  ED 210 is offered in the evening in Fall. ED 211 and ED 212 are offered in the evening in Spring. ED 213 is offered during the day in Spring and in the evening during Summer.

When would be the right time to take ED 122?

Students must complete ED 120 and ED 121 in order to take ED 122. Students are advised to take ED 122 toward the end of completion of the A.A.S.degree program.
