The Applied Geography program has established a partnership with the City of Rockville's Department of Public Works - Traffic and Transportation Division to provide students with internship opportunities. Students have worked on the City's Master Plan by using ArcView to create maps and databases from information gathered in the field. Other internship and contract position opportunities include: Federal Government National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - Hydrographic/Nautical Division Library of Congress - Geography and Map Division County Montgomery County, Dept. of Information Systems and Telecommunications, GIS Division City City of Rockville, Public Works Division Private Industry Booz, Allen, and Hamilton, Inc.
