Automotive Technology training
prepares students for entry into the automotive repair industry. All coursework
includes classroom theory and laboratory application. Students can earn
an associate of applied science degree or one to five certificates of
completion in specialty areas. Employment opportunities exist in new vehicle
dealerships; independent automobile repair facilities; fleet and government
agencies. In addition, students may pursue opportunities in performance,
upfitter and after-market installer shops. Automotive coursework also
prepares students for the industry recognized "National Institute
for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)" technician certification
exams.
In addition Automotive Technology
responds to business needs by providing customized training as requested.
