Review for RHS 116 final exam

The final exam will consist of 25 questions selected from those on the publisher's web site, covering the relevant chapters in the text, plus two essay questions as follows:

1. What factors contributed to the dominance of the Roman Catholic Church, and in particular to the Bishop of Rome in the low and high middle ages?

2. What characteristics distinguish a static (ancient) culture from a dynamic (modern) culture and how are these dynamic elements reflected in Europe by the beginning of the 17th century (c1600 A.D.)

The multiple choice questions will be weighed at 2 points each, the essay questions will be weighed at 25 points each.
