Exercise on the Constitution of 1787
A written constitution deals primarily with sovereign power: how it is legitimately received and exercised. Secondarily, a constitution deals with rights - claims recognized by the sovereign. With the above in mind, answer the following, citing your source in the Constitution. Do not include consideration of any amendments to the constitution.
1. What is the principle function of the President?
2. Specifically, what are the "judicial powers" referred to in Article III?
3. What are the fewest number of votes needed to elect the next president? You must state your answer as an alphanumeric figure.
4. What is the distinction between "people," "persons," and "citizens?"
5. What rights are recognized by the constitution?
