Extra Credit: Globalization (10 points possible)

One of the buzz words as we enter the 21^st century if globalization. Students demonstrate against it, lumping in with other social evils such as racism and imperialism. Politicians divide over its impact and businessmen both applaud and loath it. In short, there is a love/hate relationship that needs examination.

Your assignment is twofold: First, in one sentence, define globalization so that it encompasses all or as many aspects as indicated by those who use the term. Second, Summarize what are offered as the benefits and liabilities of globalization. Find as many points of view as you can and limit each point to one or two sentences.
