Television Production for Cablecast
The ITV and Media Production Services Unit is an auxiliary funded entity at Montgomery College designed to support the needs of the College community. The majority of our operating budget and capital resources comes from the Montgomery County Cable Office through the Cable Fund. Our goal is to use these funds to create high-quality educational and informational television programming for the award-winning College television station, Channel 10 on both the Comcast and StarPower subscriber systems in Montgomery County, Maryland. In order to view Channel 10 you must be a cable subscriber in Montgomery County.
If you are going to appear on television you certainly want to look your best.
A few suggestions that will enhance your appearance involve avoiding wearing
the colors white, red and black, and clothes containing small prints, checks
or plaids. The camera loves deep rich colors such as burgundy, purple, royal
blue, emerald green and gold. You may also want to consider wearing a shirt
with a neckline that will accommodate a microphone. Women may want to emphasize
their make-up.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Since we are auxiliary funded, our primary mission
is to produce educational, and informative programming for delivery on Montgomery
College Television, Channel 10. If your program request is not intended for
air over the cable channel, then please fill out a work order request form
and e-mail it to itv@montgomerycollege.edu . We try to honor all requests;
however, there may be times when either staffing or lack of redundant equipment
may prevent us from taping your program. Your request for services will be
promptly answered.
