Many classes require the use
of either a graphing or scientific
calculator. Students who need to borrow a
calculator have access to two loan programs:
1. The daily loan program
allows students to borrow a TI-84, TI-89,
or scientific (non-graphing) calculator for one day.
Calculators borrowed through this program must
be returned the same day they are checked out
unless arrangements have been made for a
short-term extension. Students must use their MC ID
(with a current semester sticker) to check out a calculator.
2. Students may also borrow a
calculator for the semester through our long-term
loan program. An application is available in
the Math/Science Center. Students must be
enrolled in a math or science class on the
Rockville Campus AND have a financial need.
In addition to the completed application,
students must bring four AAA batteries in
an unopened package (their "rent"). Calculators
are due back in the Center immediately following
the student's final exam. For more information
or an application, please see any of the staff.
