It is the assertion of this
team that an interactive series of modules geared towards increased comprehension
of core concepts, coupled with applied models, and structured to augment
traditional exercises will produce positive results, increasing student
comprehension and success.
The intellectual merit of this project,
especially the proposed interactive modules, is to replace the common misconception
of many students, that science is learned through rote memorization, with
that of a process emphasizing independent discovery of scientific concepts,
facilitating intellectual and applied understanding.
