Assemble the celestial
sphere per the instructions in your "College Astronomy Kit." This is

BUILDING A CELESTIAL SPHERE. Before putting the two spheres
together
number the 24 pimples where the two spheres join together 0, 1, 2,
3,...23,
24. 0 and 24 are the same pimple. The only problem is where to start
and
which way do you numbering. The big dipper is in the north above the
north
pole of the earth and the top hemisphere in your assembly. The Northern
hemisphere also had Leo, the Lion, the great square, of Pegasus, the
flying
horse, and the Summer/Fall Triangle with Cyguns, the swan, (the
northern
cross). The other hemisphere is the southern one and it has the
Scorpion
and the teapot. Where the ecliptic crosses from south to north
underneath
the great square that pimple is the Vernal equinox and 0 right
ascension
by definition. Then number counter-clockwise 1, 2, 3, and so on until 0
is also 24.
Cut out the ecliptic strip and tape then inside the sphere with the
print side facing out. See the picture below on how to do this.

The Aries through Leo ecliptic strip will go into the upper northern
hemisphere where the Virgo though Pisces ecliptic strip will go into
the
lower southern hemisphere as is shown in the picture above. The
strip
should be tapped inside the sphere and it should be readable and right
side up with the north pole up. That will make it unique.
There
are very many ways of putting the strip inside the sphere in ways that
make no sense or are unreadable or upside down. There is only one
way to do it right following the above directions.
