T he Science Club is made up of a group of Montgomery College students that want to explore the many branches of enginering, mathematics, and science.  The club is open to all students of all three campuses and to the community.

  The purpose of the Science Club is to promote interest, understanding, and knowledge of the scientific world throughout the college and local community. The area of emphasis shall include astronomy, biology, chemistry, enginering, geology, mathematics, physics and much more. The club shall seek to foster the type of honest skepticism that is necessary for life long learning.

Past Field trips and "Adventures":
On Friday, September 19, 2008  we had a dead scientist birthday party honoring Ivan Pavlov
the presentation was made by Miles Joyner and we elected officers and discussed when we might go to Great Falls, MD on an adventure, it was decided that Sunday was better for more people than Saturday, because of several people had classes on Saturday and other worked for money on Saturday.

Dead Scientist Birthday Party Hans Gieger talk given by Aziza Kahan starting 3PM on Friday October 3, 2008 in the planetarium. 
Officers will attend Project Lead training at the Office of Student Life ST216 Friday October 10 at 5PM and Saturday October 11 at 9AM.
 Friday, October 10, 2008 meet at the planetarium 3PM go to the Museum of Medicine and Health at Walter Reed, bring photo id to get in the gate.
Sunday, October 12, 2008 meet in the planetarium 9AM go to Great Falls, MD and walk the Billy Goat Trail after seeing the falls.
November 9 at 9AM leave the Planetarium for trip to Sugar Loaf Mountain, a monadanock, the color in the leaves should be beautiful.
