
T he Science Club is made up of a group of Montgomery College students that want to explore the many branches of engineering, mathematics, and science. The club is open to all students of all three campuses and to the community.
The purpose of the Science Club is to promote interest, understanding, and knowledge of the scientific world throughout the college and local community. The area of emphasis shall include astronomy, biology, chemistry, engineering, geology, mathematics, physics and much more. The club shall seek to foster the type of honest skepticism that is necessary for life long learning.

walked the Billy Goat trail at Great Falls, MD and saw 600

On Friday, September 18, 2009 we had a birthday party with
cake and juice for Adrien-Marie Legendre who turned 257 years
old.
On Friday, September 25,
2009 the Club watched the movie "Contact"
and pause it to make comments. Solomon Tiklia will open the
doors for the first 42 people, after that the doors will be
closed.
On Friday, October 2, 2009 we discussed the movie contact and
elected officers for
2009-2010:
Monica Buirago and Richel Velasco were elected co-presidents
Marissa Terry was elected vice-president
Tamiru Kirna was elected student senate representative
Hannah Oseghale was elected secretary
Robert Ramaya and Reza Basiri were elected co-treasurers
Fred Gertler was also in attendance at this meeting
On Saturday, October 3,
2009 at 10AM we will meet at the planetarium and
then go to the 19th
Annual Metro Washington Solar Home & Building Tour.
On Friday, October 16, 2009 the cub watched the movie "GATACA"

23, 2009 at noon we are leaving the Planetarium to go to
Great Falls and walk the "Billy Goat" trail. after visiting the CO
canel tavern and the falls. A picture of the

On Friday, September 19,
2008 we had a dead scientist birthday party honoring Ivan
Pavlov
the presentation was made by Miles Joyner and we elected
officers and discussed when we might go to Great Falls, MD
on an adventure, it was decided that Sunday was better for
more people than Saturday, because of several people had
classes on Saturday and other worked for money on Saturday.
