Area Description:
The Student
Development area has several units, including assessment, advising, counseling,
disability support services, athletics, student life, and a TRIO grant program.
The mission of Student Development is to provide programs, support, services,
and instructional opportunities that assist students in achieving success with
their individual educational goals. The area takes into consideration the
changing needs of students, providing opportunities for their personal,
emotional, intellectual, and social growth while supporting and enhancing the
academic process. Student Development works closely with many College units, as
well as representatives from the public schools and community groups, to meet
the needs of our increasingly diverse student population.
