Tap dancer, choreographer, and producer Savion Glover made his Broadway debut at the age of 12 in the hit show, The Tap Dance Kid. He was one of the youngest males to be nominated for a Tony for his performance in Black and Blue. Glover has performed with and was mentored by some of the world’s greatest tap dancers, including Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr. He played the Younger Jelly in the Broadway musical, Jelly’s Last Jam, opposite Gregory Hines (Jelly Roll Morton). Also on Broadway, he choreographed and starred in the hugely successful musical, Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk, for which he won a Tony for best choreographer. He starred in the films TAP with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr.; Bamboozled, by Spike Lee; and Happy Feet, an Academy Award-winner that he choreographed.
