Text Box: Our job at the Science Learning Center is to help you learn (and hopefully enjoy) science. We have many materials available in the center as well as tutors. What can we do for you? If you are having trouble in your science class you are welcome to come in and ask questions. We have tutors available most of the hours we are open. Due to the wide range of topics we cover (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology etc.) not every tutor can help everyone. If the staff can't answer your questions for you we will try and find a resource or faculty member that can help you. We have many study materials so that you can come in and get any extra help you need. Maybe you need to look at those slides from Biology 107 again before the lab practical, we have microscope slides for all the Biology classes available whenever the center is open. Maybe you need to work on the Chemistry computer software to understand a concept better. Again, feel free to come on in and view it at your leisure. Maybe you need to graph your data from lab and write up your lab report. We have both graphical analysis programs and word processing programs available. What can't we do for you? Well if you miss your lab you can't automatically "make it up" in here. We don't have any of the wet materials used in lab, only prepared slides and models. Also we won’t "give you" all the answers when we help you because we want you to learn the material sufficiently to pass your exams. The center is here for you.
