Web Resources For Introductory Economics

Home

This website is created as a resource for teachers and students of introductory economics courses.  The site is designed to be used as a supplemental resource with any introductory textbook. The sites listed in this resource can be directly incorporated with topics covered in Introductory Macro (Econ 201) & Introductory Micro (Econ 202).

I have attempted to provide a list of sites covering all areas of introductory macro and microeconomics. This resource-site is not an exhaustive compilation. However, the sites are carefully chosen to provide educational value. I have provided a brief overview of the sites.  In some cases interesting pages within the site are pointed out.  I hope that this site will enable teachers and learners to navigate through the vast websites and pick up some supplemental information/insights easily.

Currently the sites are divided into the following subheadings:

  • General Economics
  • Microeconomics
  • Macroeconomics
  • Video links
  • Audio links
  • News Sites
  • Tidbits

Professors can use the links under these subheadings to engage students during the class or alternatively students can use these links to probe deeper into the material.  Some assignments are also created.
