How do I apply to MC?

Information for Prospective Students will guide you to links on how to apply and find the information you need. For just the facts, go to Easy Steps to Enroll
Can I use assessment tests that I took at another school?
Yes, only if you took the Accuplacer test. Please check with your school for more details and have a sealed copy sent to the Office of Admissions for evaluation. For all other students, if you have not completed the Accuplacer or a college-level English and/or math course at another school, you must take MC's assessment/placement tests to fulfill MC's English, reading or math assessment level requirements.
Can I receive credit or advanced standing for high school courses?
Yes. Students may receive credit for high school courses through a variety of ways such as Technical Programs, Advanced Placement and CLEP Testing.
How do I transfer credits from another college to MC?
If you are seeking a degree from MC, have official transcripts from all schools you have attended sent directly to the Office of Admissions. You will need to contact them and ask that your transcripts be evaluated. MC will only evaluate credits for students who are seeking degrees.
Can I get credit for job experience?
Yes. More information may be obtained by contacting the Portfolio Assessment Program Barbara Gleason, barbara.gleason@montgomerycollege.edu.
I have a degree from another country; do the credits count in the US?

If you intend to pursue a degree in the US, visit the International and Multicultural Center on your campus and meet with one of the counselors. Also, see Information on having your credentials evaluated and tips on next steps you may take to access higher education in the US.
