What is “ejobs” |
|
|
“ejobs” is
an internet based job matching system designed exclusively for
Montgomery College students/alumni that gives you access to
thousands of part-time and full-time jobs, internships, and
on-campus employment. |

How do I register with “ejobs”? |

Go to
http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/ejobs

Under, Are you new to this system,
select the "Students” or
"Alumni" button

Follow the on-screen instructions. The
entire registration process only takes about two
minutes.

You will receive an e-mail within 24
hours approving your registration, once MC has
confirmed your status as an MC student or alumni

How do I post a
resume?

Go to
http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/ejobs and log-in
with your user name and password

Click on "Resumes and Documents" at the
top.

Click on "Upload Resume"
-
Click "Browse" to search your computer
or other location for your resume. Double click on
selected document.

Create a resume name in the "Resume
Name" box - for example "Banking Resume" to
distinguish it in case you have multiple resumes

Click "Continue"
-
Check the box "Allow employers to
search my default resume"

Student Employment Services (SES) staff will review
your resume within 24 hours. You will then receive
an e-mail stating that either your resume has been
approved (or) needs additional modifications before
it can be posted on "ejobs". If the resume needs
additional modifications, SES staff can provide
assistance, see below ("What if I don't have a
resume or need help creating/modifying one?)

What if I don’t have a resume and or need
help creating or modifying one? |

Most jobs
posted on “ejobs” require a resume in order to apply.
MC Student Employment Services (SES) provides workshops
and individualized assistance to help currently
registered/enrolled students with resume development and
enhancement, even if you never created a resume
before. If your primary campus is Takoma Park/Silver
Spring or you are enrolled in Workforce and Continuing
Education call Joe O’Hare 301-650-1630, if your primary
campus is Rockville or Germantown call Shirley Bliss

What is a “Job Agent” and how can it help my job search? |
|
“Job
Agent” is a feature on “ejobs” that can simplify your job
search process. After you log-on to “ejobs,” click the
“Job Agent” icon on the top. Select the types of jobs you
are searching for and “Job Agent” will automatically
e-mail you when new jobs are posted that meet your
criteria.
