Academic Planning

Resources to help you navigate the academic advising process
Campus Events

Academic planning is a process that you - as a college student - need to be actively involved with from the day you enter Montgomery College until the day you leave. In high school, counselors may have directed your educational goals and course selection. In college, counselors and advisors are "guides on the side" who can help you with academic planning, but it is up to you to initiate the process.

Below is an Internet guide for Academic Planning. Select the credit hour links for more information.

Use this guide in conjunction with regular counselor/advisor visits. The top links in the left menu under Quick Links will tell you where and when you can find counselors and advisors.
