Counseling
and Advising
Welcome
to Counseling and Advising at Montgomery College
|

|
|
During
the admissions process, counselors help you choose the curriculum and
courses that best suit your individual interests and abilities. Throughout
the year, counselors teach student
development courses in study skills, career development,
building math confidence, success groups, and seminar for first year students & international
students.
Following admission
to the College, you may seek a counselor's assistance at any time
to
discuss personal, educational, or career concerns. Long-term therapy
is not available, but counselors can assist with referrals to local
community counseling resources.
If you are undecided
on your major
or career goals, or have academic difficulties, you should meet
regularly with a counselor. If you are planning
to transfer, you can receive help finding information on four-year
colleges and universities.
