A New Student Orientation (NSO)
is held just prior to the beginning of each fall and spring semester
to help every student get quickly
acclimated to the MC environment. Whether you are a returning
adult, full or part-time student, participating in NSO is highly
recommended! Parent or family members are welcome. Formats and
schedules are different at Germantown (G), Rockville (R) and
Takoma Park (TP) campuses. We look forward to seeing you!
At the Rockville Campus you may select from a broad range of “getting
connected” activities and presentations such as: the
NSO Fair; Workshops on faculty expectations; Parental involvement;
Financial planning; Academic advising; Career services and
more. Plan to check-out student-faculty panel discussions;
hear a welcome from the Dean of Students or college history
and updates from the campus Vice-President/Provost. While you’re
on campus take a moment to meet and greet at the refreshment
stations. Raffles, limited campus tours are provided on a first
come first served bases and department “Open Houses,” are
available.
