Answering questions
for Pre- students can be complicated. No longer are there
specific majors in Pre-Law and Pre-Medicine - schools generally
allow students to major in whatever they want, getting advising
about course selections along the way. One good place to
steer students is into any university's Pre-Law, etc. advising
sites. Even if a student is NOT UM-College Park-bound, the
advising information on their site can be applied to most
schools. Students should consult pre-anything advising
pages at schools that interest them, or if they're completely
undecided, use UM or UMBC pages for more information.
