completed - see
below.
Fundamental Math / Fundamental English - Must be taken
before or during the semester in which 45 credits are
completed. HC (Underlined courses) = Course
fulfills the 3-credit Human Cultural Diversity
Requirement. All students must take one Human
Cultural Diversity course for CORE requirements - this course
can fulfill both a CORE and an HC requirement. Note that
not all Montgomery College Multicultural courses will fulfill
the HCD requirement: AR 127 & SO 101 do not meet the
HCD. # Decision & Information Sciences Majors
(UMCP's Information Systems): Choose MA 181
& 182 Calculus I & II instead of MA 160.
MC AA
in Business: Take Business Law
after transfer to UMCP and transfer back 3 credits to
MC to complete AA requirements. MG 201, Business Law,
will transfer as an elective course to Smith; however,
students will have to take an additional Business Law course
in the junior/senior year after transfer. **
MACKLIN Business Institute -
Students are advised to take AC 201/202 and EC 201/202
and BA 210 in the sophomore year. Take CORE Sciences in
the freshman year in place of AC or EC.
*** Unacceptable
electives - The following business courses @MC
are NOT accepted by UMCP as electives for credits toward
graduation for business majors - BA 211; MG
101, MG 110, MG 121, MG 205 (footnote 11, Transfer
Credit Center). They will transfer as
electives for majors OTHER than business.
Check the transferability of ALL elective courses
you choose on the UMCP Transfer Credit Website: www.sis.umd.edu/TCC/ CA120 NOTE: Students who have
intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
may take an Exemption Exam for CA 120 (BMGT 201 @ UMCP).
You will not earn credit for BMGT 201, Intro to Business
Computing, but you will not have to take either CA 120 or BMGT
201. Details: www.rhsmith.umd.edu/undergrad/BMGT201%20testout.pdf MA 160 Note: The
prerequisite course for MA 160 @MC is completion of MA
100, not Precalculus, or Accuplacer test
scores.
Students may take these courses in any combination
desired, as long
as
required courses are completed by the semester in which 45
credits are earned. It is possible to complete AC 201
& 202 prior to transfer if AC 201 is taken 1st or 2nd
semester.
HAVE YOU ATTENDED ANY OTHER COLLEGES OR UNIVERSITIES,
US OR International? IF YES, ALL CREDIT
COURSES TAKEN WILL BE COUNTED IN TO THE TOTAL NUMBER OF
CREDITS REGARDLESS OF SUBJECT. DEVELOPMENTAL COURSES
THAT EARNED COLLEGE CREDIT ARE ALSO COUNTED INTO YOUR TOTAL
NUMBER OF CREDITS.
ADMISSIONS STANDARDS - All new transfer students, as well as
