This certificate curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the field of residential building trades technology. The student elects a major in carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning/refrigeration (HVAC/R); or plumbing. The practical, laboratory-intensive building trades technology courses are complemented with additional specialized course work. Students select elective credit to enhance specialization, interest, or career paths. The student who completes the certificate may continue study toward the associate's degree in building trades technology.
