What new information did you learn?
1. Widened my view of possible formats - especially the idea of game-based delivery of information.
2. techniques for building learning communities
3. The sessions provided a wealth of information and resources for making connections with students online.
4. -how MC compares to other institutions re: online student services -new modes for delivering online services -a sense of the collective feelings about online services
5. I didn't knwo that students were using on-line social gatherings to such extent. I believe they quoted 85%!
6. usefull websites ways to think about organizing websites ideas about use of sound, motion, games that simple can be as attractive as complex (I do simple real gud)
7. I learned about facebook.com and other data collection software that is popular with the students. I was impressed with how the technology is being used to aid student services. I was great to make ourselves available for this useful information. Thanks to the organizers.
8. It added to and reinforced information we had gathered in regards to the need for and future of web usage in our environment.
What online student services would you like to see added to the public Montgomerycollege.edu website?
1. Official transcript request. Student handbook.
2. I would like to investigate the possibilities of an online "club". We have one club which does most of it's correspondence online since they are evening non-traditional aged students. I would like to try an online New Student Orientation.

6. I believe .edu should be geared more to the outside audience. In my opinion it attempts to service too many constituencies.

Which online student services do you think MC should avoid and why?
1. Online testing services. Assessment is a big part of the Education Re-Authorization Act and we need to see what will emerge from Congress.
2. gaming I don't think it would be a good use of our limited resources.
3. personal counseling, too complicated and risky
4. ?
5. Not too enamored of institutional endorsement of Face Book or similar applications due to concerns of privacy, etc.
