Step 5 Your
course becomes available from approximately 1 week before the beginning of the
semester to the first day of the semester. Your instructor decides when to
open the course. If you don't see a link to your course on the first day
of the semester, email your instructor. By going to the Distance Learning

Step 6 When you
select WebCt, the only link you may see is to the Counseling & Advising: An Online Companion
This is not your course. It is a
free ongoing workshop for all online students. There is information about
online learning and about academic, transfer, and career advising topics.
There are discussion areas where you can meet other online students, learn about
Montgomery College, and communicate with MC counselors, support specialist, and
faculty. You can come and go as often as you like. The workshop is
facilitated by a counselor who is in the site at least once a day all year
round. You can practice using WebCT before your course begins. Come
join the fun.
