BUILDING TRADES - PLUMBING As the cities and suburbs of Montgomery County and the nation grow, so does the need for well-trained plumbers. The National Association of Home Builders estimates that during this decade the construction industry will have to recruit more than 340,000 workers each year to fill new jobs and to replace workers who leave the labor force. Imagine your future as you train to become a professional plumber, a skilled trades supervisor, a codes official, a material distributor or a property management technician. Your practical training includes working on the construction of a house. You will learn current and emerging technologies in the construction industry. If you earn a grade of B or better in the courses that are a part of the Tech Prep College Program, you can apply the credits earned toward an A.A.S. degree at Montgomery College.
