Step 1: Determine Your Goals
By applying to Montgomery College, you are opening a door to what is possible in your own life. When you apply to MC, we strive to make the process as easy as possible for you. You can apply online or visit one of our campuses to speak to an admissions representative and apply in person.
We are an open enrollment institution and admission is open to all. Take a look at our online course catalog to see all of our academic programs. Think about your options and goals. Do you plan to transfer from an MC degree program to a four-year college? Will you immediately join the workforce after graduating from MC? Are you refocusing your career or seeking professional development? MC offers opportunities across the board.
If you need guidance, MC offers pre-admittance conversations with the staff of our Welcome and Response Centers. Recruitment, admissions, program advisors, and pre-admittance counseling are also available. Once you have been admitted, you can make an appointment online to see the counseling and advising office. They will further help you with your personal, career, and educational goals.
On-Campus/Off-Campus/Online: Once you have applied for admission, you may take classes at any of our campuses or off-site locations. You may also take classes online. MC now offers three fully online degrees in business, information systems, and general studies.
Full/Part-Time: Take classes full-time or part-time and structure your course load around your own daily schedule. We work to fit your education within your life.
Funding Your Education: MC is committed to maintaining low tuition costs. In addition, we offer many types of financial aid and scholarships—including more than 300 Montgomery College Foundation scholarship opportunities—to help ensure access to all who seek higher education.
Qualified applicants will be admitted for the next available term and will remain admitted to Montgomery College for all future terms and at all campuses. Some services (e.g., placement testing) and classes may not be available for students who submit applications two weeks or less prior to the beginning of the term.
