Dino Miltiadou ’72 - Soccer
Inducted 2009


Dino Miltiadou played soccer for Montgomery College, and was the first player in 37 years to make it into the All-American Soccer team in 1970-1971.  He led the National Junior College Athletics Association in scoring in 1970, with 15 goals and 7 assists, and again in 1971, with 19 goals and 3 assists.  He earned his degree in Business Administration at American University through a soccer scholarship.  He is currently general manager for Auto Wholesale Supermarket in Laurel, Maryland.  As a member of AFL-CIO for 13 years, he has lobbied for union issues, such as jobs workplace fairness.  He currently serves as coach of the Pancyprians team in the Washington International Soccer League (WISL), and president of Pancyprians of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. - a society of professionals of Cypriot/Greek origin. Since leaving Cyprus at age 12, Mr. Miltiadou has made significant contributions in the promotion of friendship between the Greek American community and the American people.
