Dennis Casey was the leading scorer and rebounder for the 1977 and 1978 MC basketball teams, as well as the MVP for both teams.  He was All-Conference and All-Region for the 1977 team, and All-Conference, All-Region, All-Tournament, and All-American for the 1978 team.  He received a bachelor’s degree from Coastal Carolina University, where he attended on a full scholarship and was an Academic All-American.  Mr. Casey also earned a master’s degree in education administration from the University of South Carolina.  He is currently a controls specialist with Chesapeake Lighting in Columbia, Maryland. He has been a volunteer coach for the Columbia Basketball Association and the Columbia Youth Baseball Association.
