How to Use Your Alumni Services in My MC

Step 1:  Log in.

Montgomery College recently changed all of its student identification numbers to protect against identify theft.  You may need your new student ID number to enter our secure site, My MC.

MyMC iconTo enter My MC through your Web browser, go to mymc.montgomerycollege.edu -- or just go to the College’s home page, www.montgomerycollege.edu and click on the green My MC button at the top of the page.  Either of these ways should take you to the My MC login page.

If you are using My MC for the first time, click on the link Help & New to My MC for a tutorial, and then the link Find Your My MC ID! to get your login information.

If you do not have your new student ID, click on the link Forgot your password? and follow the directions there.

Step 2:  Visit the Alumni tab.

When you enter My MC, you will see a row of “tabs” along the upper area of the page.  The far left tab, reading “My MC Home,” will be displayed.

Click on the “Alumni” tab along the top of the page.  When that page displays, you’ll see a variety of information and services available to you directly through My MC — including employment services, College events open to alumni, ways to update your contact information, and much more!

Step 3:  Join your Chapter Group.

Alumni from several Montgomery College programs are forming chapters to network with classmates, friends, and colleagues.  If there is a chapter for alumni who share your major or area of interest, there will be an online chapter group you can join.  Here’s how.

group iconWhen you are in My MC, look for the “Groups” icon in the upper right corner.  Click on the “Groups” icon, then click the tab “Groups Index.”

Select “Alumni Groups” in the left column, then click on the chapter that applies to you.

You’ll see the Guest page for the Chapter group.  Click the “Join Group” button. Your join request will be processed quickly.

Step 4:  Use My MC Frequently.

A network is good only if you use it.  Be sure to check in with your friends regularly.

And if you have any questions about the My MC Alumni tab, or any of the Alumni Association programs and services, just e-mail alumni@montgomerycollege.edu for answers.

Please remember that your use of My MC and its groups is subject to Montgomery College’s Acceptable Use Policy.
