Create a lasting impact at Montgomery College–Takoma Park with the purchase of a permanent engraved commemorative brick. The pavers are engraved with up to three lines of text to recognize a graduate, a favorite faculty or staff member, to commemorate a loved one, or to show support for the Takoma Park Campus.

The cost of an engraved brick is only $125, and you can also purchase a duplicate "mini" brick for $15. Contributions are tax deductible and proceeds support the Takoma Park Capital Campaign. For more information or to have an order form sent or faxed to you, please contact Deborah Johnstone at 240-567-1311, or e-mail deborah.johnstone@montgomerycollege.edu.

If you’re a user of the Entertainment Book, which carries coupons for local businesses and travel, then you can purchase your 2005 Entertainment Book and help support the Takoma Park Campaign. Contact Deborah Johnstone, 240-567-1311 or e-mail Deborah.johnstone@montgomerycollege.edu for more information or to order your copy. More than 150 editions offer great out-of-town savings for alumni in other areas of the country. Each copy of the book costs $25 and more than pays for itself with the discount coupons. The Montgomery College Speakers’ Bureau is but one example of how the College reaches out to the community, offering educational and cultural opportunities for all its citizens. The Bureau comprises members of the College’s faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, and Alumni Association, as well as a special group of people called “friends of the College,” who volunteer their time and expertise in this endeavor.

All speaking engagements are fulfilled without charge. Unless otherwise noted, these talks are designed for adult organizations or groups with an attendance of at least 15 individuals at meetings held in Montgomery County. With more than 160 topics, your group or organization is sure to find many topics that will interest them.

Because of the large number of requests, coupled with the speakers’ busy schedules, organizations will be limited to seven requests for a speaker per year. For more information or to receive the Bureau's brochure listing available topics, please e-mail Don Rejonis at don.rejonis@montgomerycollege.edu or call 240-567-7541.
