Picture of ArmanMy name is Arman Azari, I was born in Iran, and have been living in the U.S. for 5 years. I have always had an interest in the sciences, particularly in Biology. An ideal future career for me would be one that involves the sciences in some form or another. In my spare time, I enjoy playing Soccer as much as I can, and enjoy other sports that involve high levels of physical activity.

The Biomedical Scholars Program has been very helpful and positive in guiding its students through some of the difficulties and confusions associated with course selection, obtaining transfer information, and choosing their future careers. In addition, the Biomedical Scholars Program provided me with a summer research internship at University of Maryland, College Park. There, I worked with Dr. Castonguay at the Food and Nutrition lab, where extensive testings and experiments were done on rats to determine some important biological and physiological functions in humans. It was a nice hands-on experience.
