My name is Jonathan Hong and I am from Rockville High. Currently I am in the biomedical scholars program in Montgomery College pursuing the sciences. I hope to transfer and continue my studies, specifically molecular cell biology and biochemistry, at UMBC . Because of the Biomedical Scholars Program I am currently working at Virion Systems as an intern doing cell work, specifically maintaining and splitting cells, micro-neutization antibody assays, viral titrations, and proteinpurification. I also do animal work such as necropsy. We mostly work with RSV, HSV-2, measles, and some tumor lines. I have been there since October of 2002 and plan to continue on a paid summer internship thru the Biomedical Scholars Program this summer. I look forward to doing some of my own researching. I am also in the Maryland Army National Guard.
