Hi, I'm Ramon Balinas, and being in the Biomedical Scholars Program has been very fun. It has helped me realize my own potential. I have taken many manth and science courses, and last summer I took on a research internship at the University of Maryland College Park. There I worked under Dr. Hagberg in the Kinesiology Department. I learned so much about the importance of human health. My research was on the the correlation between Apo-E dropouts and their genotype. In addition, I worked with many grad students who helped me understand the processes of getting an undergraduate degree. It was an incredible experience, and I loved every minute of it.
