CA120 Introduction to Computer Applications

Student Quote

"Thanks for all that you taught us over this past [semester]! Every company has its own software that is being used on a regular basis, and on any others, work is done by just going into a program to do what has to be done, closing the program, and not really getting into it in great details, but you have really opened my eyes to so much more!

This course has really sparked my interest in knowing more about databases! I wouldn't mind at all pursuing a certification course in this field, because I know it would truly enhance my chances for getting a better paying job."

-- Marjorie S.

Student Quote

"I am currently working on a bachelors degree from UMUC. I work now as a paraprofessional educator in a public school. I have been in the work field for many years and have decided for personal and professional reasons to return to school. I am backtracking and taking some of the basic course requirements from Montgomery College. My experience at Montgomery College has been very positive for the most part.

CA120 - is one of the required basic courses and my first online course. I am liking it very much. I'm not a "computer person" per se, so had some trepidation about taking an on-line course. However, I have found the material (lectures) very clear and the instuctor responsive to any concerns or questions. Furthermore, it is great to have the flexibility of time and place. I find I can work on my assignments at work during lunch, on my home computer, or at school. It's very convenient!"

-- Peggy
