| The Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus is located in a dynamic urban neighborhood near the southern border of Montgomery County. We celebrate and embrace the diversity in our community and we respond to local, regional and national needs by offering a comprehensive educational experience with signature programs in the Health Sciences and the Visual and Performing Arts. Our enrollment has grown by 28% over the last five years and during the 2008-09 academic year, more than 6,000 students from over 170 countries are taking classes on our campus.
Our dedicated faculty and staff create an atmosphere where students learn inside and outside the classroom. We offer a wide variety of high quality programs and services designed to meet the educational, professional and social needs of our students and the community. Currently, the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus is in the midst of an amazing transformation in our physical plant. In the past three years, we have opened a new Health Sciences Building, the Charlene R. Nunley Student Services Center and the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center.
In 2008, we broke ground on the Takoma Park/ Silver Spring Performing Arts Center which has a targeted completion date of September 2009 and will house a 500 seat theater and a dance studio. These facilities will help enhance Silver Spring's growing reputation as the premier arts and entertainment district in southern Montgomery County.
The Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus is experiencing a wonderful renaissance and we invite you to take full advantage of our top-notch academic and cultural offerings. Thanks for stopping by our website.
