  Welcome to CA120 - Introduction to Computer Applications,

CA120 Introduction to Computer Applications is an introduction to the concepts and techniques of effective computer usage. In this course you will learn practical application of concepts for Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint applications in the Microsoft Office 2007 professional suite.

  Instructor: Ms. Linda Fontaine, Professor of Computer Applications, Rockville Campus. I am currently serving as Chair of the Department of Computer Science, and Information and Interactive Technologies.

  Introduces computer concepts and techniques applicable to various disciplines. This course covers the most widely used software packages while providing students hands-on experience with current computer applications. Three hours each week.

Wingding   COURSE PREREQUISITES Wingding

  None, but CA106 or knowledge of Windows is strongly recommended. Assessment levels: EN101/101A, MA091, RD110.

  Microsoft Office 2007, Marquee Series, Paradigm Publishing Company. This "new" book includes a 180-day free trial version of Office 2007, and the ISBN is 978 07638 32254.

  You will see all course requirements when you log into our course website. You will be able to access the course website through your MyMC in the WebCT Icon located at the top right of your MyMC screen.

  You must use Office 2007. Other versions of the software are not accepted.
