The instructor may export the grade book data to a spreadsheet and access it using an application like Microsoft Excel to make changes to the grades.
Exporting your grade book data is recommended at the end of each semester to keep a grade record for each online course. This may be essential for grade challenges since each WebCT coursesite is removed one year after delivery.
1. Log in to your delivery site and select the Teach tab.

Click on the Grade Book link from the Instructor Tools menu. The Grade Book screen displays as seen in figure 2.

Click on the Export to Spreadsheet button at the bottom of the screen as seen in figure 2. The Export to Spreadsheet screen displays as seen in figure 3 on the following page.

4. Select the All members button beneath the Members to Export heading.
5. Select the Visible columns radio button beneath the Columns to Export heading if you want to export only the visible columns.
Or
6. Select the All Columns radio button beneath the Columns to Export heading if you would like to export all columns.
7. Select the Comma-delimited radio button beneath the Select Export Format heading to separate the member data using commas.
Or
8. Select the Tab delimited radio button beneath the Select Export Format heading to separate the member data in the exported file using tabs.
9. Select a character set for the exported file by clicking on the relevant radio button underneath the Select Character Set heading. The two options you have are Unicode (UTF-8) and Unicode (UCS-2). If you are not sure what to select leave it at the default setting.
10. Click on the Export button. The File Download window opens as seen in figure 4.

11. Click on the Save button. The Save As window opens as seen in figure 5.

12. Navigate to the location on your computer to save the exported file to, for example, the Desktop.
13. Click on the Save button. The file is saved.
14..Navigate to the location where you saved the file.
15. Double click on the file to open it. The file opens in a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel as seen in figure 6.
