The instructions below will explain how to use Word ’97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2007 to convert a document into a Web page.
Microsoft Word has a feature that enables you to convert existing Word documents into Web pages with just a few clicks. This can be a quick way to convert a document you have been using for some time into a web page that you can display in your WebCT course site.
Remember that certain word processing features will not convert into HTML. Tabs, multiple spaces, headers, footers, and page numbers are some of the features that will be lost when you convert a document into HTML. It is best to reformat the document before you convert it into a Web page by using tables control the layout of the page elements
and replace tabs and multiple spaces.
If you want to keep the Word version and the Web page version identical, do not edit the Web page. Open the original Word document, edit the Word document, then resave as Web Page, Filtered. This especially helpful with your syllabus. |
