Basic Qualifications Qualifying Internships
Basic Qualifications

To qualify for a CA/CS Internship, a student must:

  • Have completed twelve (12) credit hours either in Computer Applications(CA) or Computer Science(CS);
  • Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA;
  • Be hired in a qualifying position with an area employer;
  • Note: You can find a qualifying internship on your own, or though the internship program.
  • Enroll in and complete the Internship Program Course, CA/CS 269 after accepting an internship;
  • Meet all company criteria/job requirements.

A qualifying internship in Computer Applications is an internship approved by the Computer Applications Department which involves the significant use of computer skills from courses successfully completed by the student.

A qualifying internship in Computer Science is an internship approved by the Computer Science Department which involves the significant use of computer programming, Information Technology, and other skills from courses in the Computer Science and Information Technology program successfully completed by the student.
